This book would probably be very exciting for most grade-school children, because it contains quite a few action sequences including detailed airplane chase sequences, and that classic trope of children's literature and movies, a group of intrepid children achieving the unlikely. In addition, it's written as a short chapter book so it's not too intimidating to non-readers, and seems like a perfect suggestion for a child who is academically ready to read chapter books but complains that reading is "boring".However, some other readers may wish for more; The supporting characters displayed little personality, and the relationship between the kidnapping and the antagonists' other actions was unclear.

Highly entertaining, full of excitement, very well written, and just plain fun. It's kinda short and it reads like an episode of a TV show. I can't wait for the next episode.
I really enjoyed this book. I don't know how realistic it is but if you just want to tune out for a while and be entertained I can recommend it. You can sit down and read this book in one evening as it's pretty short which I don't mind.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It kept my attention as well as the attention of my kids (ages 10-11). They all enjoyed it. Sure, this may not be a scenario one would see in real life, but, still a good read. Can't wait for the next episode.
